Hunter Fetish
“hunter Fetish” represents the struggle between science and politics our country is currently facing. As people allow pride and politics to control their actions or inactions, they fail in their duty as citizens to protect the weak or vulnerable. The work is an abstract sculpture inspired by a Congo river regional custom of creating a Bakongo Nkondi nail fetish. These fetishes are made to ceremonially seek-out and punish wrong-doers in a society.
