All is Well
“All is Well” represents our society’s ability to disregard reality and believe we are in a good place both mentally and physically when it is obvious to others that we are not. The protagonist attempts to project an image of success and happiness, but in reality, he is drowning in a self-made cesspool of envy, greed and debt.
The “thumbs up” hand gesture along with a brightly painted mountain scene and plush faux fur carpet represent a false projection of success and happiness. The arm of the protagonist is protruding from the cesspool in which he has placed himself. A green coloration in the skin represents envy and greed. The seat tacks represent the pain resulting from living in a constant state of indebtedness.
